Alberto Tosetto

Alberto Tosetto, MD

Alberto Tosetto graduated from the University of Padua in 1988 with full grades and honors with a thesis on von Willebrand disease. Since then his research and practice has been primarily in the disorders of hemostasis, while frequently trespassing in non-malignant hematology. His primary professional interests are the clinical epidemiology of venous thromboembolism, prediction of recurrent venous thromboembolism and the clinical and laboratory diagnosis of hemorrhagic diseases.

Dr. Tosetto is currently the Head of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (HTC) at the Hematology Department, San Bortolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy. The Vicenza HTC is a EUBloodNet and EUHanet associated comprehensive care Center serving an area >1 million people and offering secondary and tertiary care for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with both thrombotic and bleeding disorders, integrating clinical and laboratory expertise. He is author of more than 160 publications indexed in PubMed, and he is involved in the development of national and international guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of bleeding disorders.

He is a member of the board of the Italian Federation of Anticoagulation Clinics (FCSA) and vice-President of the Thrombosis Research Italian Partnership (TRIP) Group.

Daniela Poli

Daniela Poli, MD

Daniela Poli graduated from the University of Florence in 1984 with full grades and honors. She continued her studies in The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Florence, in the field of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

Dr. Poli has been an assistant at the Thrombosis Center of Careggi University Hospital in Florence since 1994. She is the author of more than 90 papers and scientific reviews in National and International peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Poli has been a member of the board of the Italian Federation of Anticoagulation Clinics since 2006 and is involved in the editing of guidelines in the field of Thrombosis and Haemostasis on behalf of the Italian Federation.

Since 2016, Dr. Poli has been a member of the board of the Italian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. In September 2016, Dr. Poli became the President of the Thrombosis Research Italian Partnership (TRIP) Group.
