Melbourne, Australia - Congratulations to Dr. Leslie Skeith (CanVECTOR Network) on winning the 2019 INVENT Dragons' Den Competition in Melbourne, Australia at ISTH 2019 Congress. As the winner of the competition, Dr. Skeith is awarded the $35,000 (CAD) INVENT International Collaboration Grant for the Pilot PARTUM Trial: Postpartum Aspirin to Reduce Thromboembolism Undue Morbidity (previously the Pilot PAPS Study: Postpartum Aspirin Prophylaxis Study)

The Pilot PARTUM Trial, "a pilot study assessing the feasibility of a randomized controlled trial evaluating aspirin in postpartum women at risk of developing venous thromboembolism," was presented by Dr. Marc Rodger (CanVECTOR) on behalf of Dr. Skeith in front of the three INVENT-VTE Dragons and over 100, live voting, conference members in attendance.

The International Collaboration Grant is intended to help the project expand into multiple countries and facilitate international collaboration . The funding will permit the Pilot PARTUM Trial to be collaborate & expand into the U.S.A through the VENUS Network and into the Netherlands through the Dutch Thrombosis Network.
