Melbourne, Australia  - At the Annual General Meeting (Council) on July 9th, 2019 at ISTH 2019 Congress in Melbourne, Australia, INVENT Council endorsed four clinical VTE studies / trials. The following studies were endorsed by the Network:

  • The REDUCE Study: Management of recurrent venous thromboembolism during anticoagulant treatment in cancer patients - a prospective cohort study.
  • ADJUST-DVT: Age-adjusted D-dimer cut-off levels to rule out deep vein thrombosis - a prospective outcome study. 
  • Pilot PARTUM Trial- a pilot study assessing the feasibility of a randomized controlled trial evaluating aspirin in postpartum women at risk of developing venous thromboembolism.
  • The RHEA Study: Optimizing diagnosis of splanchnic vein thrombosis with MR direct thrombus imaging
