The INVENT-VTE Network is thrilled to announce that we have awarded two outstanding trainees with ISTH-INVENT Training Fellowship awards through the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis's 2023 Training Fellowship Program (ISTH-TF Program)!
The Network has continued in this partnership with ISTH to offer a joint Training Fellowship in an effort to encourage collaboration between international VTE / thrombosis research networks / countries through this unique and important training program.
The program grants provide fellows with financial support for travel, accommodation and living expenses for a fellowship period of up to two (2) months (with the possibility to extend for 4 months for accepted applicants). It is intended for clinicians and scientists at an early stage in their career (within 10 years of completion of PhD or completion of clinical sub-specialty training).

Jad el Maamari, MD (Canada)
- Current position: Clinical specialty fellow, BC Children's Hospital / University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
- Topic: Normative coagulation in children - a mutli analyser comparison (in conjunction wth the larger overall Happikids Study)
