Mark your calendars, as the stage is set for the INVENT-VTE Network's 2023 Dragons' Den Competition at the ISTH Congress 2023 in Montréal, QC, Canada on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 pm ET (local time) at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal (Conference venue) in Room 519. 

Come watch three selected clinical investigators pitch their VTE research studies to three expert judges (Dragons) - Drs. Beverly Hunt, Jean Connors, and Sudeep Shivakumar - for a chance at a $40,000 (CAD) International Collaboration Prize!



Presenting Studies:

  1. What is the Best Antithrombotic Therapy in Patients with Acute Venous Thromboembolism While taking Antiplatelets? (BAT-VTE)
    Presenter: Laurent Bertoletti, MD, PhD; INNoVTE Network
  2. Prospective Evaluation of Pulmonary Embolism in Children Study (PROSPECT)
    Presenter: Madhvi Rajpurkar, MD; VENUS Network 
  3. Risk Assessment Model for Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter Thrombosis in Cancer Patients (RAMP)
    Presenter: Hiu Lam Agnes Yuen, MBBS, FRACP, FRCPA; THANZ Network

 



The winner of the competition will be awarded a $40,000 (CAD) International Collaboration Prize; the runner-up will be awarded a $20,000 (CAD) prize for international site expansion!

Awards will selected shortly after the event by INVENT Council but the presenters will be subject to the audience’s vote!
